Refurbished Weiss model FB/BMS Solid Brass Quartz Carriage Clock.
This model, still in our range today, was the very first clock model designed by Peter Weiss way back in 1965! He used to manufacture this model from a small workshop in London and then in a garden shed in Reading before moving to his first factory, also in Reading.
The clock name simply stands for 'Flat Brass/Brass Sides' and is a nice simple design which originally had a choice of either brass or gold filigree glass sides and a small 'Swiza' style wind up movement. Nowadays, it is fitted with a modern quartz movement to give decades of trouble free and accurate timekeeping. This particular clock was one of very few made in the early days with special marble-ised brass sides which made it stand out from all the other clocks made in the day.
This clock has a traditional white 'Made in England' dial with Roman numerals and black 'Moon' hands.
